Dr Jon Armstrong works at SJOG Subiaco and Hollywood Hospital as a Bariatric, General and Endocrine surgeon.
Jon completed his medical studies in Oxford University and St. Bartholomew’s in London.
Having moved to Perth in 1995, he obtained his fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in General Surgery.
Jon completed a fellowship year in France as an Endocrine and Bariatric surgeon.
He has performed over 2000 bariatric procedures.
Dr Armstrong set up Advance Surgical in 2013 and as the Medical Director works with an experienced and friendly team of dietitians, an exercise physiologist, a clinical psychologist and an exercise physiologist with a DEXA scanner onsite.

Advance Surgical was formed to help those finding that diet and exercise just are not working to
reduce their weight and health issues. Mr Armstrong is passionate about improving the lives of
people dealing with obesity and its complications such as diabetes, hypertension, sleep apnoea and
joint issues. We aim to provide the most suitable surgical procedure for your individual
